Profile and background:
Sebastião Tojal is one of the founding partners of the firm. He has extensive experience in public law, with outstanding performance in Regulatory, Infrastructure and Sanctioning Law.
Throughout his career of more than 40 years, Mr. Tojal has acted in cases with significant national repercussion, such as negotiations aimed at signing leniency agreements, terms of conduct adjustment and substitute sanction agreements. He also advised large national and foreign companies in the participation in bids and in relations with control agencies and federal regulatory agencies, mainly in the regulated sectors of transport (highways, ports and railways), basic sanitation and energy.
He has been a professor at the State Law Department of the Law School at Universidade de São Paulo (USP) since 1985, the same institution from which he graduated and defended his master’s degree and Ph. D. He is also a founding member and advisor of the Center for Studies and Research on Health Law, a support body for the Law and Public Health Colleges of USP.
He often participates in lectures on topics related to infrastructure and anti-corruption, with which he also contributes through the writing of numerous academic articles and articles focused on the media specialized in legal matters.
